Presentation Title Can culture respond to global challenges? The example of the Human Nature arts programme in Malaysia.
Abstract

The presentation consists of two main sections: first, it addresses the work "Human Nature" programme: Human Nature. This project is a 3-year programme that explores our diverse relationships with nature and how arts can play a role in addressing climate as a global challenge. The speaker will discuss the context that led to the creation of the programme, outlining its objectives, activities, and lessons learned to date. The second part of the presentation will link the programme to the need for indigenous and ancestral knowledge, practices, and cultural rights to be protected and shared. What role can museums play in educating and creating awareness around global challenges?
