Presentation Title NSM AR Development: Digital Access for Everyone
Abstract

NSM AR is an application that operates on iPad or tablet platforms, working with exhibits within science museums. When visitors use the app, they can follow predetermined routes grouped by content areas within the museum. The platform's features allow visitors to interact with exhibits, models, and display panels, engaging them in various scientific learning activities. This interactive approach enables visitors to understand scientific concepts better. By leveraging the program's technological capabilities, visitors explore the science museum in a fun, purposeful, and challenging way. The app encourages visitors to recognize the importance of science which potentially leads to a greater appreciation for the field. Moreover, NSM AR can inspire both youth and adults to develop an interest in science. This enthusiasm may motivate some to pursue further studies in scientific disciplines. Beyond that, it could inspire individuals to conduct research and develop innovations that will contribute to Thailand's future development.

NSM AR is an application developed based on the science museum's existing content. It serves as an educational enhancement, making existing scientific content more engaging to learners. The application, utilizing modern technology and platforms, acts as an extension that adds value to museum exhibits, making them more interactive on both iOS and Android operating systems. The app offers three distinct learning routes within the science museum: "Amazing Living Creatures," "Ever Changing Energy," and "Up and Beyond." Users can engage with various games and activities by interacting with museum exhibits through the application. This leads to diverse scientific learning experiences in multiple formats, including AR 3D, AR animation, AR location-based activities, and video animation. These features combine to make science learning both fun and challenging for users as they explore the museum.

NSM AR plays a vital role in promoting scientific potential among youth, which is fundamental to national development. Offering a fun and accessible platform through a smartphone application helps cultivate scientific awareness in young people. This engaging approach fosters higher levels of scientific learning, nurturing an appreciation and passion for science—a field crucial for the country's progress. The application's widespread accessibility eliminates barriers to learning, ensuring equitable access to scientific content within the museum space. This creates an environment where everyone can explore science on equal terms.
