Cultural heritage conservation agencies worldwide face significant threats from climate change impacts and human-induced disasters. While many organizations recognize the need for disaster preparedness plans, UNESCO's 2020 Memory of the World Program Preservation Status Report indicates that Southeast Asia still needs to improve its disaster readiness capabilities. This improvement is crucial to ensure the preservation of irreplaceable cultural heritage for future generations. Disaster Risk Management (DRM) has become indispensable in this context. However, many agencies are uncertain about where to begin. 

   Chalida Uabumrungjit graduated with a bachelor's degree in Film from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Thammasat University, and obtained her master's degree in Film Studies (Film Preservation) from the University of East Anglia. She was a member of the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) from 2013 to 2022. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Film Archive (Public Organization).
