Presentation Title Getting Prepared for Crisis In The Museum
Abstract

The National Palace Museum faces various natural disasters on this island, such as earthquakes and typhoons, as well as accompanying emergencies like floods, fires, and power outages.

In recent years, international affairs have been tumultuous. Armed conflicts not only endanger the safety of people's lives but also pose a significant risk of destruction and loss of cultural heritage.

In preparation for natural disasters or armed attacks, the National Palace Museum has conducted large-scale drills to enhance its staff's capabilities in disaster communication, rescue operations, emergency medical response, crisis decision-making, logistical support, and cultural artifact preservation. Anticipating scenarios of war-induced disasters, the museum has coordinated with law enforcement to bolster security measures. This initiative aims to strengthen staff proficiency in proper and effective emergency evacuation and artifact rescue procedures, ensuring the safety of museum personnel, visitors, and cultural artifacts to the fullest extent possible.
