Keynote Session Getting Prepared for Crisis In The Museum
Keynote Speaker Pei-Yin Shih, National Palace Museum
  Abstract

The National Palace Museum proactively prepares for natural disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons, floods, and fires, as well as armed conflicts. Through large-scale drills, the museum enhances staff capabilities in disaster communication, rescue operations, emergency medical response, crisis decision-making, and cultural artifact preservation. These efforts, in coordination with law enforcement, aim to ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and cultural artifacts, effectively addressing emergencies and safeguarding cultural heritage.
